In accordance with New Castle Presbytery’s Sexual Misconduct Policy, “Every three years all teaching elder members and CREs of the Presbytery shall also attend refresher training on the subject of prevention of clergy sexual misconduct. Such training will be offered at several locations across the Presbytery, or may be taken through another source satisfactory to the COM.”
Stewards of Children ONLINE is a web-based program available anytime and and takes approximately 2.5-3 hours to complete. The cost for the online training is $10 per person.
This prevention training program teaches adults how to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. The program is designed for individuals concerned about the safety of children as well as organizations that serve youth. The online version allows individuals to take the training at any time or place, at a pace of their choosing.
