Healthy Boundaries

In accordance with New Castle Presbytery’s Sexual Misconduct Policy, “Every three years all teaching elder members and CREs of the Presbytery shall also attend refresher training on the subject of prevention of clergy sexual misconduct.  Such training will be offered at several locations across the Presbytery, or may be taken through another source satisfactory to the COM.”

BEYOND BASICS

Stewards of Children ONLINE is a web-based program available anytime and and takes approximately 2.5-3 hours to complete. The cost for the online training is $10 per person.
This prevention training program teaches adults how to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. The program is designed for individuals concerned about the safety of children as well as organizations that serve youth. The online version allows individuals to take the training at any time or place, at a pace of their choosing.

On-site training by New Castle Presbytery is not available at this time. 

BASICS

Basics training should be discussed by contacting our Stated Clerk, Bob Schminkey ([email protected]) regarding alternate training to update your compliance.

 

Please note:   Teaching Elders are responsible for providing New Castle Presbytery with a certificate of completion for any class taken outside of NCP in order to maintain compliance with Presbytery mandated participation.  Please see the Sexual Misconduct Policy below for further details.
