In accordance with New Castle Presbytery’s Prevention of Sexual Misconduct Policy, every three years all minister members and CREs of the Presbytery shall also attend refresher training on the subject of prevention of clergy sexual misconduct. Such training will be offered at several locations across the Presbytery, or may be taken through another source satisfactory to the COMC.

ALTERNATIVE OFFERING FOR BEYOND BASICS
Stewards of Children is an online program available any time, place and at one’s own pace. It takes approximately 2.5-3 hours to complete. This prevention training program teaches adults how to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. The program is designed for individuals concerned about the safety of children as well as organizations that serve youth. Training costs $10 per person.

Minister members are responsible for providing New Castle Presbytery with a certificate of completion for any class taken outside of NCP in order to maintain compliance with Presbytery mandated participation.
