In the midst of the frazzle and dazzle of the Advent season, it seems that many of us, especially church leaders, need a time to step back and be quiet and reflect on what might be God’s invitation to each of us during this holy season.  This workshop will be

offering a time of lectio/visio divina focusing on the Advent/Christmas story.

WORKSHOP starts promptly at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, December 1, 2018

Workshop will be led by the Rev. Emily Schwenker, current Transitional Pastor for Pastoral Care at Red Clay Creek P.C.

Emily Schwenker is ordained in the Presbyterian Church (USA) to the Validated Specialized Ministry of Spiritual Direction. Emily’s primary ministry is offering one-on-one and group spiritual guidance to clergy, seminarians and lay persons in Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.  In addition, she serves on the staff of the Shalem Institute’s Spiritual Guidance Program and is on the Board of Directors for the Interfaith Resource Center.  For many years, Emily served on the adjunct faculty at Lancaster Theological Seminary where she taught spiritual and ministerial formation to first and second year seminarians.  Currently, Emily serves as the Transitional Pastor for Pastoral Care at Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church.  Following her passion for spiritual formation, Emily leads retreats and small groups, as well as consults with congregations on matters of spiritual growth and discernment.
