Representation & Nominations
The Committee on Representation & Nominations (CORN)'s purpose is to prayerfully discern and invite members of the Presbytery and its congregations into faithful service at the Presbytery, Synod and General Assembly levels of the PC(USA), continually guided by the constitutional commitment to unity in diversity.

Responsibilities include:

Collaborate both within this committee and with the leadership of other bodies in the process of asking people from across the Presbytery to be elected to service

Annually provide a slate for election for the new classes in the commissions, committees, and teams of the Presbytery

Annually nominate the Presbytery’s Moderator and Vice Moderator, with the Vice Moderator usually serving as Moderator the following year
What are the guidelines for CRES?

Following the guidance of the General Assembly, provide a process for the nomination and election of commissioners and advisory delegates to represent the Presbytery at meetings of the General Assembly

Nominate commissioners and committee members for the Synod of the Mid-Atlantic

Monitor vacancies on the Presbytery’s ministry bodies and prepare nominations accordingly

Fulfill the Book of Order requirements related to ensuring inclusiveness and representation in the mission and ministry carried out by the Presbytery

Commission on Preparation for Ministry
CPM has six to nine (6-9) Teaching and Ruling Elder members elected by Presbytery serving in three classes. Meetings are usually virtual on the second Thursday of the month beginning at 10 am. Members journey with and provide care to inquirers and candidates engaged in the ordination process, as well as to Ruling Elders engaged in the commissioning process.
Committee on Representation & Nominations
Trustees have six (6) Teaching and Ruling Elder members serving in three classes who are elected during the annual meeting of the Corporation of the Presbytery. Meetings are held at least quarterly usually in the late afternoon CORN has six (6) members elected by the Presbytery serving in three classes, nominated by the Vision & Coordination Commission. Meetings are as needed through the year and based on members' availability.
Permanent Judicial Commission
PJC has seven (7) Teaching and Ruling Elder members elected by the Presbytery, with not more than one Teaching or Ruling member being from any one constituent church of the Presbytery (D-3.01). Meetings are as needed.
