It Could Have Been Salisbury

(A Response from New Castle Presbytery Executive Presbyter, Jim Moseley, to the Orlando Shooting)

It could have been Salisbury, or Dover or Wilmington!  The horrendous shooting spree that took fifty lives on early Sunday morning could have happened in a venue near many of us.  The killed and injured could have been our friends … our family members.  The killer could have been an acquaintance or neighbor.  So, we must do everything we can not to distance ourselves emotionally from the darkness of what happened in Orlando.  The ruthlessness is unimaginable.  (Read more by clicking here).  Also, visit our Facebook page for shared posts regarding special services.

Balcony 2 of Council Needs You!

The Balcony 2 team is excited to launch the next phase of our visioning campaign. We have spent time designing a listening process, engaging in introductory meetings, and prayerfully reading scripture together. Through that work, we have engaged North Star Strategies to facilitate a Presbyter-wide conversation over our expansive geographic area. In short, they will help us design a conversational survey, distribute it, collect the data, and help us interpret it, so that we can make recommendations to the Presbytery concerning our way forward.
In order to make this work, we need your help in collecting email contact information (Yes, we will have paper surveys for those that want them). Sign-up today so that your voice is included in this valuable exercise.
