Presbytery Restructuring Update

After two years of reflection and discernment, New Castle Presbytery is restructuring and moving toward a new missional model.  As we make this transition, our executive staffing model will also be changing.  Our current Stated Clerk anticipates retirement.  Our Executive Presbyter is transitioning to new roles in service to the church.  Thus, we seek both a Connectional Presbyter and a Missional Presbyter to help us live into this new model. More information about these position follows.

As we move forward with the implementation of Balcony 2 recommendations, the Connectional Presbyter will be the first of two new positions to be filled in 2018; the second to be titled Missional Presbyter.

Update:  “MacMillan Selected to be First Connectional Presbyter”

View the announcement here.

MISSIONAL PRESBYTER:  As prefaced above, in our re-structured model, our new Missional Presbyter serves the presbytery in ministry that brings enthusiasm and hope to our churches, engages the churches in connecting with one another and works with the Committee on Coordination and the Committee on Leadership.  The newly created position description can be viewed here.

Apply for the Missional Presbyter position via email no later than 1/31/18:
