Congregational Grants
The Congregational Grants Committee promotes outward engagement among churches and communities for missional ministry with logistical and financial support. The committee will:

Encourage congregations to engage in missional ministry with partners, whether locally, regionally, nationally, or internationally

Provide ongoing guidance and support to congregations as they create and launch missional partnerships

Receive and assess proposals for missional ministry from congregations

Approve funding for proposals that meet the requirements set internally by the committee that are consistent with the vision of ministry in partnership of the Presbytery

Report regularly to the Presbytery about the status of the proposals that received funding

Plan a regular opportunity for congregations to gather for the purpose of celebrating, learning, and creating new missional ministries together

About Our Grant Making
The purpose of the New Castle Presbytery (NCP) Congregational Grants is to support member churches’ meaningful outreach work that helps to meet the needs of their congregants and the communities they serve. This includes projects that relate to Food Insecurity, Mental and Physical Health, Housing, Advocacy, Peace, Poverty, and other related projects that align with the Presbytery’s stated values.
Grant Range
Churches with impactful projects are encouraged to apply for grant support. The Grants Committee can approve mission-related requests from
$1,000 to $20,000.
Requests for more than $20,000 require Presbytery approval.
Grant Timing
Grant submission deadlines are
March 1 and September 1.
Deadline for fall 2026 is October 15
The Grants committee approves grants in April and October.
Grant Requirements
Submit grant online to include:
Organization budget
Program budget (income and expenses)
Previous year Annual Financial Review
Timeline for project implementation and related expenditures
Reporting Requirements
Grant recipients are required to submit two reports, one at mid-year and one at the close of the one-year grant periods.
