227th GA (2026): Seeking Nominations

July 9, 2025 Committee on Representation & Nominations - Nominations for commissioners and delegates from New Castle Presbytery to the 227th General Assembly are open! During the September 20th Presbytery Assembly, the Committee on Representation & Nominations (CORN) will present the slate of nominees for these positions to Presbytery with the intention of electing one Minister of Word and Sacrament Commissioner, one Ruling Elder Commissioner, one Young Adult Advisory Delegate (YAAD), one Theological Student Advisory Delegate and one alternate for each position.
CORN requests that Ministers of Word and Sacrament consider applying, or nominating an MWS colleague. Sessions, please consider nominating Ruling Elder or Young Adult (17-23 as of June 22, 2025). Theological students may self-apply, as well as Ruling Elders.

Transportation, room and board are reimbursed for commissioners and delegates in accordance with General Assembly policy.
Guidelines:
Commissioners must be able to attend the entire Assembly (June 22-July 2) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The format of the Assembly will be available soon by clicking on the link within the photo below.
Commissioners must be able to absorb a great deal of reading materials prior to and during the Assembly, all received or accessed electronically, including time sensitive registration materials.
Commissioners are elected to a two-year term and are to be available after the conclusion of the Assembly to report to the Presbytery, including interpretation of actions and proposed amendments from the Assembly.
Nominees who have previously served as Commissioners to previous General Assemblies may be considered for nomination.
