Rule One: This One Thing

April 24, 2025 Presbytery Pause (Tracy Keenan) - You’ve heard that phrase making the rounds these days: “You had one job.” Usually, it is said snarkily when there has been an obvious fail— an installation gone wrong or a simple instruction misconstrued. 

But in this Eastertide, I hear it in the present tense as a word of exhortation: “You have one job.” No snark. No fail. It is simply the plumb line by which we build our days. It is the scale by which we weigh every choice.
