July 18, 2024 Presbytery Pause - When our bodies are hungry, we feed them. They kick up a fuss if we go too long without feeding them. But if we fill our bodies with junk food – those tantalizing chips, soft drinks, pastries, and other addictive, useless calories – it can be hard to stop.


When our souls are hungry, on the other hand, we might try to ignore the pangs and power through. Or we might not recognize the hunger for what it is and instead reach for something that will distract us from the discomfort.
