The letters stand for "what would Jesus do," echoing the pivotal question in the 1896 novel In His Steps by Charles Sheldon. I remember carrying the question in the heart ... the question is meant to help us make decisions, to remind us as followers of Jesus Christ that each and every aspect of our lives are meant to be oriented towards to him.
