July 4, 2025 Presbytery Pause (Cindy Kohlmann) - Do you remember how the third parable in Matthew 25 starts? We often focus on how it ends, with Jesus pulling no punches, "Truly I tell you, just as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me." (Matthew 25:45)


But the beginning of the parable is just as important, because it sets the stage. The Biblical story is clear: God always establishes a covenant for the sake of a community, a people, a nation.
