Have you ever stopped to think about all the facets of your identity and how they intersect with one another to make up who you are in all your God-blessed uniqueness?

Even if you have, play along with me for a moment. Each of the ways you identify yourself, each of the ways I understand myself, intersect with one another to create a whole. Gender identity, race, ethnicity, culture, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, education, religious identity, family make-up, life experiences, looks, age, the list can go on and on, and in some cases like looks, age, and education, can shift.

So in my case, my intersections include being a white Presbyterian woman with advanced education, divorced and re-married, step-mother, sister, Navy veteran, world traveler, and many more.
